Coming" episode screened on US TV this week - a
scientist (guest star Larry Drake) claims he has Elvis
Presley's sperm on ice in his lab. Stars Tea Leoni.

telecast was the little known Conversations With
Elvis in which Elvis regales his entourage with
stories.

Do
you have a cool million dollars? If you do you can bid on
eBay on a TCB necklace allegedly owned and worn by Elvis.
Other high price items on sale include The King's Madison
Square Garden sunglasses (start price, US$250k)
and 'image rights' to several Elvis photos (again US$250k).
A
novel item to buy is the Elvis Pinball machine from
the Stern group. It will set you back only US$469,000.00 for
the Gold edition.
Too
good to be true? Yes, it was. prospective buyers got excited
when they saw numerous hard-to-find Elvis CDs on eBay for
a 'Buy It Now' price of US$1.99. The catch - they werre from
China and the postage cost was US$13.98! Among the titles
were Elvis' Greatest Hits Vol. 1, A Touch of Platinum
Volumes 1& 2 and Elvis Live at Madison Square Garden.
Meanwhile,
bootleg CDs such as How Great Thou Art (volumes 1 to
3) are available for around 15 pounds each.
On
the vinyl front a copy of the Australian boxset Elvis The
Legend Volume 3 was listed.
Rip-off?:
there are still a number of sellers who believe their items
are rare and deserve a high price. Copies of the comic book,
The Elvis Experience have been listed with a Buy It
Now price of US$42.00!
A
popular item this week was copies of Elvis concert programs
from the 1970s. Numerous copies received strong bidding with
prices betwen US$5.00 and US$35.00
- The
Anti-Piracy Internet Police have written to major
Elvis messageboards teling them not to list bootleg items
for sale. EIN understands it is acceptable for sites to
review unofficial items but not openly sell them.
- Femke
Niehof in Holland has written a 120 page university graduation
paper titled The Wonder Of You for her studies in
cultural anthropology.
- Canberra
area fans will get a double dose of Elvis this month. The
popular Hellenic Club has two Elvis acts booked. On Saturday
18 September, Mark Andrew will be performing his
show, 'Elvis leaves his Mark' in the Triton Room between
8pm and 9pm. There is a FREE show.
- Then
on Thursday September 30, one of the world's best Elvis
tribute artists, Max Pellicano returns to the Olympus
Room with his celebrated 'Elvis to the Max' show . Tickets
are $35.00.
- From
the files of the Star Courier on microfilm at the Kewanee
Public Library By Star Courier staff 10 years ago Thursday,
Sept. 1, 1994 - A barrow named "Elvis" was crowned grand
champion of the Hog Capital Barrow Show held Wednesday night
in the Black Hawk East ag pavilion. The new "King Hog" was
raised and shown by BHE sophomore Stacy Hall of Kewanee.

- It's
Now Or Never was #1 on The Billboard Hot 100 for 5 weeks

- Elvis
was sued by Beverly Albreco in August 1975. Ms Albreco claimed
Elvis had broken her ankle during a party in his suite in
August 1973. She sought $10,000 in damages.

1973 film tabloid magazines ran cover stories saying Elvis
would soon wed Linda Thompson.
